Yatch outing

Dear folks... i've been on a trip again on 23/02/04

This time its on board a yatch for a round trip to Pulau Seribu (Thousand Island) :). Thousand Island's name came from the many many island of the island that surrounds it..the group of different different island makes Thousand Island.

The main cool factor in this trip is the boat, the yatch itself... remember when we were young or even now.. in movies, Hongkie dramas you can see those rich folks goin for a boat ride on their private yatch and boats... Here we suceed in making it come true... we managed to rent a boat to cruise around and visit a few island of the Thousand Island...

Here's the boat.... all fine and dandy.......the price was expensive but we r willing to sacrifice to make our dream come true :)

We went to Pulau Putri first.. it's also know as Princess Island.. there we had some snacks, then venture out for activities like kayaking, water bee and basically swim around. After that we break for lunch in our yatch.. the night before we(a bunch of colleagues) cooked up Nasi Lemak for lunch. It's my 1st time making the sambal for the nasi lemak... it was quite sucessful considering being it the first try of me making it. I tried to follow the recipe closely.. the sambal can definetely be improved.. make it less sourish and more salty.. then it would be perrrrfeect ! :D the sambal is exactly like the one from the mamak stall .. a sense of accomplishment really...

After lunch we continued our water activities.. then quickly clean up and head to another island.. on the way to the second island... there are strong waves... the boat was at maximum speed.. the boat was vry rocky..it was vry terrifiying really.. the people on upper deck was soaked... but they say they enjoyed the process as it was really thrilling. I was on the lower deck, in the living room.. i dont wan to get wet :P. anyhow no matter what it rocked us all... however it was quite fun !! hahaha !!!

After that we head on to another island.. but was not able to dock properly due to the big waves. so we went to Onrust Island. We toured.. and found that those island.. the Bidadari Island (Angel Island) and Onrust Island were used by centuries ago by the Dutch as a base for war or ship repair..

We then head home but we dont have enough oil.. the boat man actually went to another island to buy oil. and even get from other boats. on the way too due to it is dark, it's the time for fisherman to go out to the sea to fish.. our boat actually got stuck on one of the nets.. however we managed to get back and head to dinner at Ancol at a seafood restaurant. After dinner we went home, wash up.. online for a while.. look at photos then retire for the day.. the best part was? the next day is Sunday...... a day to rest........
