Thought of the day - Leadership.

A few days back, a colleague of mine was approached by his ex-Team leader to join a newly setup dept at an organization. Fate has it that I've worked with his ex-Team lead before to notice that, that person is not really a sort of a person which is good to work with. Me and my colleague both agreed that it's definitely a no go situation.

Sometimes people tend to forget how they actually treat their own subordinates. If you are at all time selfish/not helping/too scared to share knowledge. I dont think anyone with the right mind would want to join you in embarking anything, even if the organization is a good one.

Many people "thinks" that they have the so called leadership skills but.. more often than not.. many did not qualify.. Being a leader is not to be in control, but rather to assume the roll of a facilitator, guide, etc.. influence by example and not merely by POWER/Coorporate Authority!
