Meetings..

Today I've had a meeting rather different than the usual. Today is the most official meeting that I've ever participated in. My role in the meeting too has changed. Being at work, as an employee, having meeting with our boss always ends up boring.. having no solutions and most of the time is the boss telling us what to do rather than we come up with solutions for the problem. Most of the time, meeting with boss are just useless, to satisfy their ego..to order us around. Conflicts always exists in meetings of such kinds. Each party blaming each other bla bla bla..

Today's meeting was rather interesting. Each representative of each dept was present, store, merchandise, sales and finance. All were there for a weekly and monthly meeting to discuss company problems, policy, procedures, and the solutions for it.

Prioritizations of what is important and not, was discussed thoroughly. Occasionally the discussion can somehow take a slight turn and went off topic. Which was really funny where some 2 party each discussing on who's technically right or wrong. However it's really and enjoyable meeting where all 4 heads are put together seriously and honestly to solve a problem. All with the effort to really help the company move forward rather than those previous meeting I've attended at work where when there's a problem everyone just blames each other.

I would say I cherish this kind of meeting really. Everyone puts the company's interest as their priority, points are fairly discussed and ideas banned positively with good reasons and better solutions. All positively channeled. Learned to be critical thinker, a thorough thinker. Hopefully this direction of us continues as we move ahead further.
