au revoir hamsteroo...
at 6.15pm today.. a tragic thing happened.. the hamster belonged to my landlord has been eaten by a CAT !.. yes.. such an incident, it was least expected but it kept the whole house feeling a bit down.. as most of us the tenants really liked both the rabbits and the hamster.
Have you seen a rabbit being friends with a hamster? Well.. i have.. :) .. in the beginning, the rabbit first arrive at my landlord's house all alone, small, young and cute.. it lived alone in a medium sized cage.. then one day, when i came back from the uni, there it is .. the hamster now proudly the member of the family sharing a place to stay with the rabbit.. yes... both of them in the same cage.. hahaha.. quite amusing you may say.. everyone was amused ... we were wondering on the same thing.. can they really stay together? be friends? .. indeed they can ! .. both of them shared the same cage, foods and many more.. somedays you can even see them sleeping side by side, sometime on top of each other.. it is really funny .. when you look at their positions... cuddling each other during rainy days...
Today, the landlord n his son decided to make a new home for those two creatures, where they decided to build a fenced up area in the lawn for those two... so that they could move around better as both of them are getting bigger in size. However, the gesture turned into disaster as, my housemates spotted a cat hanging around the area and saw that CAT carrying away that hamster in its mouth and run away.. my housemates tried to chase the cat but to no avail, the cat had run away ... THAT CAT have been hanging around the house for quite some time already as.. at first .. it was the bloody cat that mess up with the garbages outside the house.. we tried to chase it away a few times already too.. but, fated, the hamster had to go......
we went downstairs to checkout the hamster hoping to find it's body... but nope.. nothing.. we assumed that it is already in the stomach of tha bLOODY cat!, the rabbit seems terrified, its body is shaking endlessly.. we were quite worried but we can't do anything.. juz to hope that nothing will happen on the rabbit, we felt kinda sad as the rabbit has lost its best friend .. the hamster... another sad thing is that.. what will the reaction of my landlord be when they found out that the hamster has been missing and worst still being eaten by a CAT !~.. we are still wondering whether should we tell it to the landlord about the incident or to juz keep quiet. We have no idea. We are expecting a commotion in the house where the son will be crying all loud for the missing hamster... haih! .. the ties of human and pets ........... It is truly a sad sad day...
